Description:
KR.04 / House Renovation and Garden Design
Delivery 2026.
The KR.04 project consists of the complete renovation of a 150 m² house combined with the redesign of a 200 m² garden. The intervention redefines both the interior architecture and the outdoor spaces to create a continuous relationship between the house and its landscape.
The architectural language draws inspiration from brutalism, introducing raw materials and strong structural elements. New board-formed concrete walls were added to reinforce the architectural identity of the house and create a calm, monolithic atmosphere throughout the interiors.
A sculptural concrete staircase was designed as a central architectural feature. The stair appears suspended, stabilized by cables attached to the ceiling, emphasizing lightness while maintaining the raw material presence of concrete.
The project also explores reflections and perspectives through the integration of mirrors, allowing light to travel through the spaces and visually extend the interior volumes. Custom-made furniture and built-in elements structure the rooms while maintaining a minimal and cohesive aesthetic.
Polished concrete finishes were used to create continuity between spaces and highlight the material palette. The house includes three bedrooms, where warm wood elements contrast with the mineral character of the concrete surfaces.
Outside, the garden was entirely reimagined with the creation of terraces, a swimming pool, and a landscaped environment designed to extend the living spaces outdoors. The landscaping integrates tropical vegetation, shaded relaxation areas, and outdoor dining spaces, creating a calm and immersive atmosphere around the pool.
The KR.04 project combines raw architectural expression with carefully designed interiors, where concrete, wood, light, and landscape interact to create a balanced and contemporary living environment.
